About Massage

Trigger Point Deep Tissue Massage:

Is a massage technique that focuses on the deep layers of muscle tissue and its related connective tissue. It's used to release the chronic muscle pain and tension that we acquire in our every day lives. Deep Tissue Massage is also great for breaking up scar tissue from old injuries, surgeries or repetitive stress conditions. This work allows muscles to return to their intended position and function.

Trigger Points:

Are accumulations of waste products around a nerve receptor. Often times they feel like nodules or tight bands of fibers within the soft tissues. Trigger Points form in muscles that have been overused, misused or injured.

Common characteristics are increased muscle tension and shortening of the effected muscles. This often leads to defined pain patterns that follow the nerve pathways. Trigger Points can present themselves as sharp pain, dull aches, tingling, pins and needles and hot and cold sensations.

Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Massages are highly effective in treating conditions such as:

  • * Fibromyalgia
  • * Tennis Elbow
  • * Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
  • * Frozen Shoulder
  • * Sports Injuries
